First Snowfall of the Winter!

We had our first snowfall just a couple of days ago, actually beginning Sunday afternoon. Not real big - only 1-2 inches but enough to get the roads slick and difficult to drive on.

The kids, of course enjoyed it the next day...they didn't get to miss school but they did get a late start Monday morning. They also had a chance to play around after school that afternoon. Remember your visit a couple of Thanksgivings ago? It's really a rare occurrence for us to have snow before December so you were especially blessed that year!

Here's Michael with two "apple red" cheeks...

We wish you were here to enjoy the snow with us!

Ellisa's first day at school

Ellisa's first week at school. It was a mixture of melancholy and joy...strange watching her from the gates lining up and going to class. No longer the toddler at Kindergarten......

She is coping well and have made 3 friends in class. She is not they shy type so I think she'll do ok.

At airport now

Hey andre, it works!!!! Thanks for signing me up. Basically you have to give me the invitation to get into this page ...is that how it works? I am not sure how this works.
Its now 10.50pm have one hour to kill before my flight to London.
Not looking fwd to the 12 hours cramped up in the pigeon hole.

Looking fwd to more postings...will teach mummy how to get in, once I return home.

Happy New Year - 2007

Hi everyone,

We are launching the Yee Family Blog on the very first day of 2007. Even though we're separated by time zones and thousands of miles, we can still share our lives together...so please participate with photos, stories and updates on what is going on. We can stay connected and be more involved in each other's lives.

I will start by adding Meng and Kathy to the author list...if Connie has a blogger/google account, I'd like to add her too. We'll then have to get Mummy onto blogger as well... I think it'll be too much of a stretch to get Daddy onto blogger since his main experience with new technology is the TV!

By the way, this blog is private so only members of our family will have access to the blog. I didn't want to start the blog until Blogger provided privacy controls but now that the feature is available, we can blog in safety and privacy.

Another advantage of a blog is that we will have the content stored and archived so theoretically it'll be available for years to come.

Here are some practical guidelines -

Don't feel the pressure to blog every week...only from time to time as you feel led to share what's going on. Of course, the more we share, the more our lives will be intertwined and strengthened.

Don't feel the pressure to pen a great post...this is just among family so the point isn't to impress each other with our writing but just to provide an update...just like we do on email.

Do post anything that's of interest - photos, links to sermons, recipes, stories, prayer requests, etc...

Also, I will be adding an email feed soon - if you subscribe to it, you'll be notified when there's a new post.

So let's get this New Year started by blogging away!
